The Come On is the brainchild of songwriter Sam Barron and producer Brian Speaker (Jeffrey Lewis, Kung Fu Crimewave,
Crazy and the Brains); an irreverent new wave rock concoction of overdriven Telecaster, vocal harmonies and sparse synth strokes.
Their sound merges The Modern Lovers garage rock with a B 52s back and forth, male-female vocal set. IN Feb. 2017, drummer
Louis “Pockets” Cozza (Darkwing, Looms) and singer/keyboardist Mimi Oz (Rooster, Mimi Oz), and Sam took their debut EP on the
road for their “Great American Tour.” Back in the disgruntled motherland, the trio reunited in Brooklyn to polish off the forthcoming release, “El Gas.” They also dropped a tune, You Gotta Go, written for Independent film, “Monday” which premiered at SXSW, executive produced by Robert Rodriguez.
